Head inland from Fort Bragg and you’re in the heart of California redwood country. These gorgeous groves offer some of the most scenic and serene hiking, biking and camping you’ll find anywhere. The unconstrained logging that supported the town for so many years has been reduced, but threats to redwood forests persist. Climate change, land conversion and, increasingly, fires are just a few factors that imperil local forests.

Save The Redwoods League

Since 1918, Save the Redwoods League has protected and restored California redwood forests and connected people with their peace and beauty so these wonders of the natural world flourish. They purchase redwood forests and the surrounding lands, regenerate logged forests so they become havens for future generations, study how to best protect and restore these global treasures, and introduce people to these magical places.
