A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats

A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats: Mobilizing the Blue Economy in Fort Bragg

Friday, October 3, 2025 – As Part of First Friday
Town Hall

The City of Fort Bragg, in partnership with California Sea Grant and Noyo Harbor District, are sharing findings from the Noyo Harbor Blue Economy Visioning, Resiliency and Implementation (BEVRI) Plan. The BEVRI Plan is a two-year planning initiative to create a roadmap for coastal resilience in Noyo Harbor and the region, balancing environmental stewardship with economic vitality. Members of the planning team will present on key technical studies – including the Sea Level Rise, Tsunami Hazards, and Erosion Resilience Strategy for Noyo Harbor, Aquaculture Feasibility Study, and Special District Analysis – and community members will share their experiences collaborating on this work.

There will be a multi-media exhibit to showcase the educational and outreach materials developed during the planning initiative and the projects that have stemmed from these efforts. Presentations and conversations will take place from 4-6 pm in Town Hall, then we invite you to grab a map and stroll through a kelp-themed First Friday. It is said that a rising ride lifts all boats: thank you for your participation
