Surf’s Up
Get in the water with local surfer Caleb Rickett, of North Coast Surf School. Take a lesson, or if you already know what you are doing, rent a board and wetsuit from Caleb along with some advice on what breaks are good to surf during your visit. Caleb offers private and group lessons, and camps in the summer months.

Take a hike!
Do some hiking in beautiful Russian Gulch State Park, a few miles south of town. For a moderate to difficult hike, take the Fern Canyon to Falls Loop Trail (6.3 miles and some major changes in elevation), featuring a 36 foot waterfall and wildflowers galore in spring and summer seasons.
